Châteauneuf-Villevieille

The walk to the ruins of the castle of Chateauneuf-Villevieille is a perfect family walk, do-able by all, including children (accompanied by adults), providing magnificient 360 degree views, and really fascinating experience of the old ruins of the former castle and the tiny village that surrounded it.
Less than 30minutes from Nice, this is a perfect Sunday afternoon walk.
From the roadside parking area (see map below) to Chapel St Joseph takes about 30 minutes. From there, it's another 15 minutes to the castle, or about 1 hour roundtrip in the opposite direction to Mount Macaron.
